The escalation of plots can only go so far before it becomes tiresome and predictable. At some point, an author has to know when to let things settle before movng to the next phase. It’s tiring for the reader and raises more questions than it answers, to an excessive degree. Unless this is some quick issue that will be resolved within the next 4 chapters.
